"ARGHHHHH Theres a big peice of sweetcorn rising over the houses. PLEASE GOD NO....."   I can't imagine your night was much different. Well played anyway, it was a good night. drummer ben.

Hi benji - yes it really is Uncle Laurence,, I've just visited the web site and heard the Mp3 ... Really fine music -- but I notice on your home page that you are smoking - have you developed other bad habits since I bounced you on my knee as a baby  -- and does your mother know!  On a more serious note the hat you are wearing in the picture is brought fond childhood memories back to me as it is just like the ones that Bill and Ben (the flowerpot men) wore  but that was before your time.  Incidently we are not related to anyone called Mad Dog Coey... unless of course your Dad has a secret double life (I doubt).
Keep going yar all  . get rich & famous and enjoy

Uncle Laurence (ps - do I get a free EP?)

Benji says: Hello, as everybody knows smoking is  REALLY BAD, but we are bad too, so that is why we do it, but hey - that doesn't mean you should kids, OK?.  I'll send a CD down to you tonight.  Are you still playing drums and gigging around?  Do you know any venues around your way that may be suitable for us to gig at?  Hope everything is going well down our way, perhaps when i'm there soon we could have a drum chat and a pint of warm headless bitter!  Cheers for the mail, Benji.

Laurence says: Dear T&Bs - Benji asks where to gig in Shrewsbury. I would recommend the Jazz and Roots club at the Buttermarket, Howard Street, Shrewsbury. The club runs on Thursdays - it is primarily into jazz and roots (strange that isn't it!) e.g. Afro, reggae, ska, blues, folkrock, irish, fusion jazz. You would go down well there. The venue is small (200-350 audience) and in a cellar with barrel vaulted ceiling and is reminiscent of the Cavern as was in Liverpool (so I'm told). Also because it's a club the audience will turn up even if they haven't heard of you - (because the bar is open late perhaps?) The audience gets up and leaps about a lot and bands always love the closeness to the audience and the good audience reaction - stage visibility is poor however (as the columns holding up the ceiling get in the way) - also the stage is small. Phone Dave Bassett on 01743 231142 - emphasise the retro feel and the Hammond organ - he'll love that. Good luck.  Uncle L.

Yo Jonni bassist, heard you at fibbs t'other night. I was damn impressed with your 'bassing' How long have you been playing?

Jonni says: Hello Louse

Thank you for such a lovely message. My head has swelled to the size of that green thing in Dan Dare!

I have been playing Bass now for 134 years and two months. I am not very good for the length of time I have been playing though!

Do you play the bass? Have I seen you?

'...a voice as smooth and greasy as a chicken leg'?(Here magazine) not sure that does justice! in 3 months of playing Welcome You in Notting Hill and Chelsea not one of my customers has come up to me and said 'excuse me, but that delectable voice emanating from those 2 speakers over there sounds as smooth and greasy as a chicken leg'. Seriously, hope you get better soon and good luck in the final. (Might see you in Nice)

Amber says: Well Spunky you and your posh Chelsea and NH customers will be pleased to know that we are [possibly] down your way on August 3rd, if you fancy it you dirty monkey.

Spunky says: Fantastic! Lets get pissed. Are you coming to socialise or coming to play?

Amber says: BOTH

I am currently looking for a specialist to provide me with some tongued and grooved panelling.  I understand that Paul has doen a bit of grooving in the past in Leeds.

By the way is Benjamin Coey any relation to Mad Motorbike Coey in Texas?  Can he do any grooving?

Amber says: Fred all the band would agree when I say that I am the best in the T & Bs at tongueing, I've been doing it now for about 4 or 5 years at various locations and have GNVQ levels 1,2 and 3 hopefully I'll have completed 4 by Sepetember.  Just let me know what you need doing and I'll be on to it, references available on request.

Benji says: Mad Biker Coey is my friend, my BEST friend, it is just coincidence we live so near together and share the same name, i will pass on your regards.  Thankyou, he does get lonely on his metal steed you know, its not like a car, theres no air
conditioning or heated seats for him, noooooo... he is a real man, and DON'T YOU FORGET IT
